Scarborough Beach State Park
This property offers a deeded right-of-way directly onto Scarborough Beach but the access to the main park entrance is upwards of 1/2 mile westward along the beach.  Scarborough Beach offers some of the best swimming in New England with water temps in the high 60's throughout July and August. Ferry Beach
A sandy beach along the Scarborough River channel that is located at the end of Ferry Road. The beach is somewhat protected from ocean waves by the jetty located on the other side of the channel. The municipal parking lot is located off Black Point Road at the end of Ferry Road. The Town maintains the beach area, parking lot and facilities located there. The facilities include public restrooms with showers, a public boat launch and snack stand. There are fees to park in the municipal parking lot and to use the boat launch. (207) 730-4000

Cresent Beach State Park
Cresent Beach State Park is on Route 77 in Cape Elizebeth. The park offers bathing in the surf or in the sun at one of Maine's finest beaches. There are picnic tables and grills, a children's playground, a snack bar and a bathhouse with cold water showers. Telephone (207)799-5871

Two Lights State Park
Two Lights State Park is off Route 77 in nearby Cape Elizabeth. Picnic or stroll along the rocky headland and enjoy a marvelous view of Casco Bay, the open Atlantic and crashing Surf, while lobstermen haul their traps offshore.  Prior to becoming a park, the site served as a World War II coastal defense installation and some remnants of that use remain visible today.  Picnic tables and grills are available. Portland Headlight
Portland Headlight located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, is the oldest working lighthouse in the country. The lighthouse was commissioned by George Washington in 1791. See portlandheadlight.com

Space is obviously very limited in the beach area, but we do have several excellent establishments which offer overnight accommodations.... reservations will most likely be necessary, so make your plans early.

Breakers Inn
The Breakers Inn is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean at Higgins Beach. Built as a private home in 1900, it has served the public since the early 1930's. Rodney Laughton is the innkeeper.
